  • How do I get to the Newman Center?

  • Where can I park if I am coming to the Newman Center for a meeting with my event manager or other Newman Center staff?

    Paid parking is available in the Hourly Visitor Lot (Lot 320), located in the lower level of the parking garage at $1.50/hr via cash or credit for a maximum of five (5) hours. Street parking may be available; however please be aware that most side streets are limited to one hour parking.  Visit the Rental Process and Policies page for more parking information and to read about requesting day garage parking permits for you, your staff and/or volunteers.
  • Where can I park to pick up tickets from the Newman Center Box Office?

    There is a 20 minute drop-off/loading zone on the North side of the building on Iliff Ave. Street parking may be available; however please be aware that most side streets are limited to one hour parking. Visit the Rental Process and Policies page for more parking information.
  • What are the Box Office hours?

    Monday-Friday: 10am-4pm
    Saturday: 12pm-4pm (Sept – May)

    1 hour prior to all ticketed events

  • May people bring bottled water into the performance venues?

    Yes, bottled water with a cap is allowed. However, other drinks such as juice or soda are not allowed, even if they are bottled.
  • How much is my deposit and when is it due?

    New Clients: 50% of the total Estimate of Expenses (EOE) due at time of signing the contract plus the remainder of the EOE ten business days prior to the event.

    Returning Clients: 50% of the total Rental Rate due at time of signing the contract

  • What is a Certificate of Good Standing?

    A Certificate of Good Standing proves that your organization is a legal and real entity registered with the State Government. It gives the Newman Center the correct legal name which will appear on your contract, and it shows that your organization has filed all its paperwork in a timely manner to the State.   • Does the Newman Center have internet access I can use?

    Yes – there is 24-hour complimentary guest access to the DU WiFi network.
  • Who should I contact at the Newman Center regarding lost and found items?

    Please contact the Box Office at 303-871-7720, option 1 on the menu.
